New Ipsos Qual Screening App Uses Face Recognition
Ipsos India has partnered with technology firm Crownit to launch a recruitment screening app for qualitative studies, called TrueFace.
The app was developed by the Ipsos India Mobile First team, and uses face recognition technology in real time to help identify repeat respondents. It also includes multimedia capabilities and an interactive dashboard showing the status of recruitments, question-wise responses and the outcome of facial recognition checks. All of this will be used by qual research unit Ipsos UU and its field teams, according to Ashwini Sirsikar (pictured), Country Service Line Leader for Ipsos UU, who says it 'will free up a lot of researchers' time'. She adds: 'Repeat respondent is a big issue which all market research agencies are dealing with. In qualitative research, it is critical to get the right respondent - someone who is not a professional, is of a correct profile and not a repeat respondent'.
Crownit is an India-based consumer data analytics platform, using millions of purchase receipts to generate actionable insights.
Ipsos UU accounts for around 1000 of the group's more than 15,600 employees. Web site: www.ipsos.com .
