Data Plus Math Hires Moe for NYC Expansion

Boston, MA-based cross-platform TV and video measurement firm Data Plus Math (D+M) has hired Jason Moe as Vice President of Business Development, with an immediate remit to establish an office in New York.

Jason MoeD+M's TV and video attribution platform uses cross-screen viewing data from millions of households to connect ad exposures to real world outcomes. The firm's flagship MediaFX attribution platform is used by national programming networks and cable operators to better measure the effectiveness of TV advertising. Last year, the company launched the TV Pixel toolkit, which promises to connect TV ad campaigns with online, mobile and in-app conversion measurement capabilities.

Moe (pictured) joins from video encoding technology developer Sorenson Media, where as Senior Director, Network Partnerships he headed the cable network partnership group. Prior to this, he spent more than seven years at TV ad targeting specialist Simulmedia, which he joined in 2000 as an Attention Analysis, conducting research and data analysis of set-top-box data. He then served as Senior Manager, Operations, helping with the design and testing of the proprietary platform used for targeting, optimizing, buying and reporting TV media campaigns; and most recently was Director, Partner Relations.

In his new role, Moe will establish a D+M office in New York, leading efforts to develop and expand the company's programmer and MVPD (multichannel video programming distributor) customer base in New York City. Working alongside the sales, marketing and executive teams, Moe will also develop new business, while generating new partnership opportunities within the industry.

CEO John Hoctor comments: 'Moe is a strong addition to our business development team and will be an excellent resource for our New York clientele. His prior experience within the TV industry, specifically with attribution, will be valuable for fostering partnership opportunities and enable publishers to further consider closed loop reporting based off of any success metric'.
