O'Donovan Steps Down as OzTAM Head of Digital

Australian television audience measurement body OzTAM is searching for a new Head of Digital, following the departure of Digital Strategy Director Padraig O'Donovan to start his own consultancy business.

Padraig O'DonovanOzTAM is the country's official source of TV audience measurement, and covers the five metropolitan markets (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth), plus subscription television nationwide. In February, the organisation added demographic profiles to its Video Player Measurement (VPM) service, enabling age and gender reporting for all content consumed on participating broadcasters' video on demand services (BVOD).

O'Donovan (pictured), who joined in 2014, managed the development and deployment of the VPM digital currency service, which provides daily audience data for BVOD services. He was previously Head of Digital Technology at Network Ten.

OzTAM CEO Doug Peiffer thanked O'Donovan for his contribution to OzTAM and the broader television industry. 'Padraig has built VPM into a world class BVOD measurement service worthy of currency status. With VPM now fully operational, we understand Padraig's decision to strike out on his own and wish him every continued success', Peiffer added.
