New CEO for methinks

Video research and targeting company methinks has hired Aaron Burcell as Chief Executive Officer.

Aaron BurcellSeoul, South Korea-based methinks, which was founded by games industry execs Philip Yun and Wilson Li and also has offices in Mountain View, California, helps companies target, find and interview customers and prospects via face-to-face video calls. The company provides customers with access to a pool of 400,000 'Thinkers' who registered to share insights and opinions with methinks customers.

Burcell (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' experience of growing video start-ups, and was both the firm's first advisor and its first customer. His background in marketing, operations and growth roles includes leadership positions at online social media learning game company Grockit (acquired by Kaplan), music video and entertainment platform Vevo and online bank 'Marcus by Goldman Sachs'. Most recently, he returned to streaming service Loop Media as the COO in the run up to its merger with software development life cycle and quality assurance solutions provider FogChain.

In his new role, Burcell will focus on growing awareness of methinks consumer insights, increasing revenues worldwide and developing a global research platform distribution strategy, and he is already assembling a team of marketing and sales professionals.
