Semantic Ad Tech Firm Peer39 Expands to London

New York-based Semantic ad technology specialist Peer39 has opened an office in London, where it has appointed Andrew Morsy as Managing Director, International. The firm has also hired Alec Greenberg as Vice President of Partnerships in its NYC office.

Andrew Morsy and Alec GreenbergRecently acquired by private equity firm O3 Industries, Peer39 has developed an AI-powered semantic analysis engine providing a 'holistic understanding' of page content, meaning and sentiment. It does this by analysing the relationship between words on a page, or the content of a video / in an app, to help deliver the right ad to the right user in the right context.

The new London office - the firm's first outside the US - will be led by Morsy, who joins with fifteen years' experience in digital advertising, from specialist sales roles at Yahoo!, Struq and StrikeAd. More recently, he was UK MD at Sizmek, which previously owned Peer39. Greenberg joins after spending almost two decades in the ad tech sector. He was previously VP Partnerships at Amino Payments, which combines tech from blockchain and payments to bring transparency to online advertising; he served as VP Demand at ad tech solutions provider Sovrn; and he spent a decade on the DSP side at Dstillery and aCerno.
