LiveRamp Launches 'Privacy Manager' Consent Platform

Enterprise data and analytics provider LiveRamp has launched a preference and consent management platform (CMP) called Privacy Manager, to help clients comply with laws such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CCPA (the California Consumer Privacy Act).

Tim GeenenLiveRamp was acquired by Acxiom Corporation in 2014, but by 2018 had become such a key part of it that Acxiom sold its original Marketing Solutions business (AMS) in 2018 to marcoms giant Interpublic Group for $2.3bn in cash, with the remaining unit taking the LiveRamp name.

Built on CMP Faktor (acquired earlier this year) LiveRamp's new Privacy Manager enables marketers and publishers to interact with consumers, and manager their data, in a secure, compliant manner. The solution integrates across web sites and mobile apps, providing a full audit trail that delivers compliance across channels. It also provides individuals with transparency and control over their data, allowing marketers to safely collect and activate validated permissioned data to reach audiences. It is specifically designed to meet the requirements of GDPR - in force since May 2018 - and CCPA, which comes into effect next month.

Tim Geenen (pictured), GM, Privacy & Consumer Experiences, comments: 'A solution like the one we've architected with Privacy Manager, can serve as a North Star for enterprises that wish to prioritize global compliance in a comprehensive and straightforward way. A compliant business is a safe business, and companies can differentiate with a better, more transparent and intuitive consumer experience'.
