Growth Funds for Canada's itracks

Canada-based online qual technology and service provider itracks has received $1.1m in growth financing, from Western Economic Diversification's Business Scale-up and Productivity program (BSP).

Dan WeberThe company was formed in 1999, and offers an end-to-end qual research suite called itracks GO, combining online focus groups, interviews and other qual activities in one platform. Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) aims to western Canadian economy while improving quality of life, focusing on business development, innovation and community development.

itracks says the funding has been used to complete renovations to create a state-of-the-art software development center, described by CEO Dan Weber (pictured) as housing 'some of the most advanced software for the market research industry'. The money is also helping the firm with ongoing expansion of its software and sales teams, and funded the launch its latest new product, itracks video interviewer.

Says Weber: 'It is fascinating to me what we are capable of developing right here in Saskatchewan. We really are becoming a mini Prairie Silicon Valley'.
