Curion Names Chief Operating Officer

In the US, consumer understanding specialist Curion has appointed former Leo Burnett Global CFO Greg Silich as Chief Operating Officer.

Greg SilichFormed in 2017 through the merger of consumer product testing agency Q Research Solutions (QRS) and sensory methodology developer Tragon Corporation, Chicago-based Curion employs 'Quantitative Descriptive Analysis', a behavioral method where panel members use different senses to identify product similarities and differences. It also offers a Product Optimization solution (PROP), using an interactive and experimental approach to determine which sensory and analytical measures predict product preferences. Last year, the company launched eFive, a sensory and product insights platform for emerging brands, with testing facilities in Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas and New York City.

Silich (pictured) joins after holding multiple senior roles across the B2B services, technology and market research sectors. Most recently, he was CFO of digital marketing agency closerlook, prior to which he served as President and CEO of social media talent acquisition software business QUEsocial; CEO of management technology and data solutions company CVM Solutions; and COO and CEO of human capital and organizational performance solutions provider Capital H Group. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, before spending fourteen years at Leo Burnett, latterly as the firm's Global CFO.

In his new role, Silich will be responsible for providing strategic direction for the company's existing client business and for the company's operational units. He reunites with former Leo Burnett colleague, Curion CEO Sean Bisceglia, who comments: 'Greg's strengths include both the ability to think and plan at the strategic level and to manage the day-to-day, tactical challenges of rapidly changing organizations. His experience and drive will help Curion as we introduce disruptive tools for our clients and grow our footprint'.
