Former MB Chair Farish Joins New Firm Nostradamus

In the UK, recently launched insight and opinion leader community specialist Nostradamus Consulting has appointed former Kantar Millward Brown exec Stephen Farish as a Director and advisor, as it launches its first community focusing on the global energy vertical.

Stephen FarishNostradamus was set up last month with the avowed aim of capitalising on the closure or Kantar's specialist B2B practice, and is led by the latter's former MD Julian Green. The closure followed WPP's recent sale of 60% of the insights division to Bain Capital. The new business offers a combination of market research, social media intelligence and advanced analytics, and its first initiative has been to build a community of more than 2,000 global energy stakeholders.

Farish (pictured) will join the company's Executive Committee with more than 30 years' experience in media, business intelligence and marketing. He is a former main Board Director at Haymarket Media Group, where he built a division of twenty content brands and developed it through launch and acquisition into an international, multi-media operation which included print, digital, live events and business intelligence products. Most recently, he was Chairman of Kantar Millward Brown's corporate and healthcare practices, having previously served as Market Engagement Director at Centaur Media, and he is currently a non-executive director of the digital media and marketing business Sift, and of digital marketing agency One Vision Health.

Commenting on the appointment, Green said: 'I am so pleased Stephen is joining the team. His first-hand experience in dealing with the complexities of stakeholder understanding, corporate and media affairs will ensure the insight solutions we build and the advice we provide is underpinned by strong foundations'.
