Médiamétrie Appoints EVP Audience Measurement

French audience measurement agency Médiamétrie has promoted Julien Rosanvallon to the position of Executive Vice President - Audience Measurements, replacing Benoît Cassaigne, who is retiring but will continue as an advisor.

Julien RosanvallonMédiamétrie was established in 1985 and measures audiences for TV; radio; computer, smartphone and tablet; cinema and cross-media, in France and abroad. Last year, the firm launched measures for catch-up radio (content listened to after the broadcast) and native podcasts (those with original audio content); and changed the name of its international division Eurodata TV Worldwide to 'Glance'.

After beginning his career at Wanadoo Régie (Orange), Rosanvallon (pictured) spent nearly a decade at the Médiamétrie and Nielsen joint venture Médiamétrie//NetRatings, before moving to Médiamétrie as Head of the Television Department, and most recently serving as Executive Director Television and Internet. In his new role, he will be supported by all the company's audience measurement directors including Laurence Deléchapt, who will take charge of Médiamétrie's Television Department. Deléchapt began her career with Médiavest, before joining Médiamétrie as Design and Models Officer; then moving to the position of Director of TV Studies and Sales and Key Account Manager; and subsequently Director of the National Médiamat Department.

Commenting on Cassaigne's retirement, Médiamétrie Chairman and CEO Yannick Carriou said: 'I thank Benoît Cassaigne very much for his work - he has been a key player in media audience measurement innovation. He also greatly contributed to the development of Médiamétrie's position as a neutral and independent trusted third party in the media and digital ecosystem'.
