NMI Merged into Research America
In the US, health and sustainability specialist Natural Marketing Institute (NMI) has been merged into marketing and public opinion research group Research America Inc. (RAI). Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Launched in 1990, Harleysville, PA-based NMI provides strategic consulting, market research and business development services to clients across the health and wellness sectors. Specifically, services include brand positioning, concept development, innovation, and market assessment, along with custom segmentations activated across all Nielsen solutions.
The firm becomes part of RAI, which comprises fourteen offices across the US, with a team of more than 300 researchers. NMI and RAI have worked together for the past few years, and have many clients in common, and Robert Porter, RAI CEO, describes the merger as a 'natural evolution of that strong alignment'.
Steve French, NMI Managing Partner, adds: 'The institute will continue to operate independently while the merger will expand our toolkit including web panel, quantitative fielding, qualitative facilities, sensory/QA lab testing, among other services. RAI capabilities will also add unique synergies to our custom qualitative and quantitative consumer and B2B research. We are truly excited about future opportunities to serve our clients'.
