InCrowd Parent Buys SurveyHealthcareGlobus

In the US, investment firm Saroras Private Capital has launched a new company called Apollo Intelligence Corporation, focused on tech-driven data and insights solutions for the life sciences and healthcare sectors; and has acquired data collection company SHG as part of it.

Dan FitzgeraldSaroras is the owner of real-time life sciences market intelligence firm InCrowd, which will now be a sister company to SHG within Apollo. SHG (SurveyHealthcareGlobus) is the name recently given to the combined operations of SHC Universal and OMR Globus, a full-service, pharma / healthcare data collection agency and sample provider which SHC acquired last October. The combined firm offers data collection and survey solutions.

Saroras bought healthcare MR firm InCrowd in August last year and appointed former Dynata exec Dan Fitzgerald (pictured) as its CEO - he has also worked at Lightspeed / GMI, Affinova and Knowledge Networks. Fitzgerald will now serve as CEO and President of Apollo.

With the latest buy, SHG Chief Executive Jerry Arbittier will stay on with the new business to support a smooth transition. SHG and InCrowd's commercial brands and respective client-facing business teams will remain as they are, the firms say, focused on their own clients and markets for the time being.

Fitzgerald says of the news: 'We see tremendous value and opportunity in SHG and envision InCrowd and SHG operating as sister brands within Apollo. SHG has been a great partner to InCrowd, we've observed their dedication to client excellence firsthand, and is a very well-respected brand in our industry. Jerry Arbittier and his team have established an industry-leading reputation for client service, delivery, and quality and we look to build on these successes as we serve our customers. Our investment in SHG will further enable Apollo, and these two outstanding operating brands, to benefit from scale and deeper investment in advanced technology, systems, and research tools'. John Almeida, Apollo Board Chairman adds: 'We envision that over time, Apollo will build and grow its capabilities to support all of our healthcare and life science clients. We see a significant opportunity in this marketplace and are thrilled to partner with the SHG management team to build on their successes to date'.
