SPM Names New Chief
In Chicago, full-service healthcare consultancy SPM Marketing & Communications has promoted Patti Winegar from CEO to Vice Chair of SPM Group, while filling the Chief Exec role via the appointment of Amanda Seaford, effective September 1st.
 SPM's specialist services include strategy, research and insights, creative, digital strategy, analytics, content creation and mobile app development. Its Consumer Compass proprietary research study profiles how various attitudes, beliefs and behavior influence healthcare decisions. From a nationally representative sample of 4,000 adults, the study examines more than 400 areas that enable SPM to understand the specifics of who a consumer is and why they make their decisions, in order to fuel marketing communications strategy, messaging and creative approach.
Winegar joined SPM in 2006 as Managing Partner, and was promoted to the CEO role last year. Prior to this, she spent 22 years at DDB, latterly as SVP Group Business Director, having begun her career at Leo Burnett. In her new position, she will focus on SPM Group strategy, acquisitions and client engagement. Seaford will join after serving as US CEO of Mirum / Wunderman Thompson, before which she held senior roles at Omnicom's digital agency Critical Mass, where she worked for more than a decade; and at Dell and OMD. On joining SPM, she will provide leadership across all the group's companies.
