Canvs Emotion Platform Added to Toluna Start

Online community and survey tech provider Toluna has partnered with customer insights specialist Canvs, whose AI-driven emotion and behavior platform will add further on-demand capabilities to the end-to-end, real-time solution Toluna Start.

Launched last September, Toluna Start provides users with a platform through which to access Toluna's panel of more than 30 million members, uncover and share real-time insights to help fully understand the consumer journey. While the platform is methodology agnostic, it integrates Harris Interactive's methodology into its automated solutions, which span market understanding, brand and communications, new product development, and advertising and creative testing.

Through the partnership with Canvs, Toluna will offer automated emotion measurement and coding through Toluna Start. Canvs' platform, which is used to instantly analyze open-ended text, offers a patented approach that identifies 42 separate core emotions, extending the nuance of how consumers speak to incorporate the use of slang, emojis, and shorthand text with more traditional language, for a deeper understanding of how consumers are feeling or what motivates them to act.

According to Toluna, this integration will provide it with a differentiated approach to visualizing digital conversations and improve the time and efficiency of analyzing and coding open-ended text in surveys and moderated interviews.
