$15m Funds for Data Platform SoundCommerce

In the US, retailer and consumer data platform SoundCommerce has raised $15m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use to expand its team and platform capabilities.

Seattle-based SoundCommerce's platform integrates transaction and event data into cloud data warehouses, and its data models offer analysis of what's driving and detracting from customer lifetime value and business profitability. It can also be used to understand whether assortment, inventory and promotions are aligned with demand; and can highlight which markets, channels and customers should be prioritized.

New funding has been led by SaaS venture firm Emergence Capital with participation from existing investors Defy Partners and Voyager Capital.
