Seed Funds for Data Processing Platform kleene.ai

In London, enterprise data processing platform kleene.ai has raised $1.5m in a seed round of funding, which it says it will use to ramp up its product development and support its clients on their data journeys.

Set up in 2017 by data specialists CEO Andrew Thomas, Chief Data Officer Matt Sawyer, and CTO Ben Long, kleene.ai provides an end-to-end data processing platform for data analysts. The firm fully automates the ingestion, modelling and version control processes; enabling analysts to access data and speed up the time it takes to deliver insight. With the platform's built-in connectors, the firm collects data, and breaks down data silos, centralises it into a single location, and then uses this data to build a curated view of a client's business.

In a blog statement, Sawyer (pictured) said: 'I am very happy to announce, alongside Andrew, Ben, Greg and the rest of the incredibly talented team at kleene.ai, that we have secured our seed funding round, led by Episode 1, and supported by the team at Superseed. These firms have invested in us to unlock our vision of levelling the field. The earlier the data challenge is nailed, the earlier the competition truly starts.'
