WPP's Wavemaker Hires NA Chief Data and Analytics Officer

In the US, WPP's media, content, and technology arm Wavemaker has expanded its North American leadership team with the appointment of Delphine Fabre-Hernoux as Chief Data and Analytics Officer. The firm has also hired Alex Norman for its newly created role of Chief Growth Officer.

Wavemaker was set up in 2016 by WPP media agency MEC, with the insight- and data-driven unit now comprising 7,200 people across 88 markets. Fabre-Hernoux (pictured) joins from Amazon, where she served as Global Head of Amazon Advertising Insights Sharing. Prior to this, she worked agency-side as EVP - Global Data, Technology and Analytics at Publicis Group and Chief Data Officer - Carat Global at Dentsu. She also held positions at Facebook and Microsoft. In her new role, Fabre-Hernoux will support Wavemaker's overall strategy to combine its data and media capabilities across the network; and she is charged with creating solutions across data sciences, from audience addressability to new ways to measure success for clients.

Norman was previously Head of Growth at ad agency Global Team Blue, co-founder and CEO at eCommerce agency Armstrong, and CEO of software company LiveWorld-WPP. At Wavemaker, Norman will lead the firm's pipeline of new business in North America, and drive marketing and growth strategy. These two hires follow the recent appointment of Vinny Rinaldi to lead investment and activation; and all three executives will sit on Wavemaker's Executive Committee (EXCO) and report to Louisa Wong, who leads Wavemaker's operations across the Americas.
