DisplaySearch Adds to US and Korean Teams
Flat panel display research specialist DisplaySearch has appointed two experienced analysts to its rapidly growing team. John F. Jacobs joins from Apple Computer as a Director and Jinny Park from Mindbranch Asia Pacific as Manager of Korean Market Research.
The hires are DisplaySearch's seventh and eighth key additions in the past seven months.
Jacobs was Global Supply Manager for Flat Panel Displays at Apple Computer, overseeing growth from four to more that a dozen products ranging from handheld displays to wide screen high-definition monitors. He worked previously for Quantum, as a business analyst. At DisplaySearch he will be Director of Notebook PC Research, based in San Jose, California. Tom Philbin, whose current role includes notebooks, will now dedicate his time to expanding DisplaySearch's channel market research efforts, including a number of forthcoming monthly sell-through reports covering display-based products, based on data now being received from a growing number of North American resellers.
Prior to Mindbranch, Park held a wide range of responsibilities in sales and marketing for leading market intelligence firms, including FPD market research firms. She has also helped organize a number of high-profile regional technology conferences. With Korea continuing to expand its influence in the global FPD industry, Park becomes DisplaySearch's second dedicated employee in the region, and from her base in Seoul will be responsible for market research activities, market intelligence business and consulting services in the Korean marketplace.
