Kantar Public Adds Policy Research Role in Singapore

Kantar Public, the global group's government and public sector practice, has hired Damien Huang for the newly created role of Director for Policy Research, Development and Evaluation, in Singapore.

Damien HuangEstablished by Michelle Harrison in 2016, Kantar Public pools expertise from around the group to offer advice on the delivery of public policy, services and communications. Huang (pictured) most recently served as a Research Associate at the Institute of Policy Studies, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, where he was involved in a range of projects including the review of re-employment ages, older worker Central Provident Fund (CPF) contribution rates, and as a co-Principal Investigator for the IPS Post Election Survey. Earlier, he was a Senior Labour Economist / Research Analyst at the Ministry of Manpower, and a Research Associate at the Singapore Centre for Applied and Policy Economics. He also served as Adjunct Lecturer at the Singapore Institute of Management.

In his new role, Huang will develop the firm's portfolio of qual, quant and data science approaches for government, public sector and NGO clients in the region. Commenting on the appointment, Sandra Lim, MD of Kantar Public Singapore, said: 'Damien brings with him more than a decade of experience of supporting and leading national-level projects with the Singapore civil service across the policy spectrum. His academic background and training in applied microeconomics alongside his rich experience in econometric and data analytics makes him a strong addition to our team'.
