New Firm for Former WPP AUNZ Data CEO Ben Dixon

In Australia Ben Dixon, WPP AUNZ's former CEO of Data Investment Management, has been named Chief Executive Officer of newly launched single-source data business Fonto.

Ben DixonFonto, which owns consumer app businesses Humaniti and Surveyz, has already raised more than $5m in capital funding and is currently working closely with a range of blue-chip clients, research agencies and consulting firms. Dixon (pictured) also serves as CEO of Humaniti, and earlier at WPP AUNZ, he managed a group of fourteen companies with a focus on research, consulting, data and online panels. He was previously CEO of Kantar in Australia and New Zealand and spent six years at Nielsen, latterly as an Executive Director.

Fonto analyses more than $20bn of de-identified transactions, directly connected to research responses, organised and curated into a single-source data ecosystem. With this data, the firm measures market share, category dynamics, impact of promotional activity, and in-the-moment understanding of customer experience.

Dixon comments: 'Our technology allows us to create a far more accurate and insightful picture of what Australians are thinking, feeling and doing, removing many of the frustrations that have surrounded traditional market research. As our transactional data is updated on a daily basis, we can offer rapid insight into the changing dynamics of dozens of categories, a proposition that is resonating in the Australian market'.
