TransPerfect Buys Social Media Specialist Webcertain

New York-headquartered language and tech solutions provider TransPerfect has acquired UK-based digital marketing agency Webcertain Group, whose services include competitor analysis, market intelligence reporting, social media listening and reputation audits. Terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2003 by Andy Atkins-Krüger (pictured), Webcertain now has more than 100 employees in its York and Barcelona offices. The agency provides international digital marketing services, covering SEO, SEM, social media, and content services primarily focused on the B2B sector. As well as geo-targeting and pay-per-click audits, the company's multilingual social media team can provide one-off campaign consultancy, on-going campaign management, and project reviews to support clients' social media efforts.

TransPerfect says that the acquisition will complement its TPT Digital division and adds to its 2019 acquisition of a minority stake in market research sector language specialist G3 Translate. Atkins-Krüger comments: 'There is a clear and growing opportunity to deliver innovative global digital marketing solutions to support international brands.
