Kantar Health Becomes Cerner Enviza

Kantar Health has been renamed Cerner Enviza, combining real-world healthcare data and technology from parent company Cerner with Kantar Health's decades of life sciences expertise.

Cerner completed its $375m acquisition of Kantar Health in April, and the latter has since been integrated into the former's Strategic Growth business. According to Cerner, the new Cerner Enviza unit will use data and a network of 'research-ready' health systems to help get therapies to patients more quickly and at less expense. In addition, the unit will focus on broadening the availability and participation in trials.

Lynnette Cooke, the former Head of Kantar Health, is now a part-time advisor to the unit, which is led by Mike Kelly (pictured), who previously served as Kantar Health's President and COO. Commenting on the news, Kelly said: 'We bring together the expertise, assets and capabilities of Kantar Health with Cerner's technology and access to a large collection of deidentified patient health data. Our approach unites the life sciences and healthcare providers to support research and trial opportunities across this ecosystem. The goal is to significantly reduce the timeframe and cost from idea to therapy delivery to help achieve better patient outcomes.'
