Data Exchange-Based FinTech Firm Klover Hires COO

Klover, a financial services platform whose users share data voluntarily in exchange for financial services and products, has appointed former Google, Facebook and Pinterest executive Meredith Guerriero as COO.

Meredith GuerrieroFounded in 2019 and headquartered in Chicago, Klover will offer a full banking service, including 'meaningful, free financial health-focused tools and services', with 'no interest, no credit check and no hidden fees'. Leveraging consumer-permissioned data and insights in concert with trusted partners, the firm aims to provide customers with 'a combination of the community bank feel and the advanced technological power of today's high tech banking apps'. It already has three million users.

Guerriero, who will lead the company alongside co-founders Brian Mandelbaum, CEO and Dominic Bennett, brings experience of building and growing billion dollar tech businesses. At Pinterest she was VP of Sales and Partnerships, executing pre-IPO strategies and responsible for more than a third of the company's revenue with Fortune 500 partners. Before Pinterest, she joined Facebook in 2015 to develop its health sector presence; and earlier she spent a decade at Google working her way up to Global Director of Automotive and then Global Director, Programmatic Platforms & Solutions.

She comments: 'We have a real opportunity to remove the shame and embarrassment that surrounds personal finances. We have hit an all-time high of families living paycheck-to-paycheck, and I want to help give them a different path using a new asset, data. Most importantly, I'm very passionate about leading by example to pave the path for women. Female representation in the C-suite, especially in Fintech, is lacking. I want to change that'.
