AskNicely Raises Funds for Frontline Success Platform

Customer experience software provider AskNicely has raised $32m in a Series B round of funding, which it will use to expand its Frontline Success Platform technology, and double headcount across its Portland, Auckland and Amsterdam offices.

Aaron WardAskNicely aims to connect employee experience, customer experience, and revenue growth for service businesses. Its mobile technology platform delivers personalized coaching and motivation for frontline workers, powered by real-time customer feedback. According to CEO and co-founder Aaron Ward (pictured), traditional customer experience solutions ignore the actual people responsible for serving the customer, so AskNicely's platform is designed for the frontline worker, and the firm's Frontline Success platform uses customer feedback to help customer-facing staff make small daily improvements.

New funding was led by Five Elms Capital, with participation from existing investors Nexus Venture Partners and Blackbird. Ryan Mandl, Managing Director at Five Elms Capital, comments: 'Given that frontline workers make up 80% of the planet's working population, we see an enormous market opportunity for AskNicely's Frontline Success Platform, and are excited to partner with Aaron and the AskNicely team to continue to develop innovative products for their fast-growing, global customer base.'
