Morning Consult Strengthens Geopolitical Risk Arm

In Washington DC, decision intelligence company Morning Consult is expanding its Geopolitical Risk Analysis division with the appointment of Sonnet Frisbie as Managing Director, Geopolitical Risk Analyst for EMEA.

Sonnet FrisbieMorning Consult, which also has offices in New York, Chicago and San Francisco, surveys respondents across the globe every day to assess what people think in real time, and determine how their decisions impact business, politics and the economy. Last year, the company expanded its daily tracking survey of brands, economic conditions and geopolitical risk from fifteen to more than 40 countries.

The firm's Geopolitical Risk Analysis team advises companies and governments on how politics and regional developments impact strategy and operational management. For instance, Morning Consult recently published an in-depth report assessing global public opinion on the Russia-Ukraine crisis (both pre- and post- invasion), and its new 'Russia-Ukraine Crisis Tracker' captures public opinion changes among US voters on a range of topics, including support for sanctions, a no-fly zone and more.

Frisbie (pictured) joins after thirteen years at the US Department of State, where she most recently served as Financial Economist in the Economic Bureau's Office of Monetary Affairs. She joined the department in 2009, and held positions in Mexico, the Czech Republic, Iraq, and Poland.

In her new role, Frisbie will pair the firm's proprietary data with her regional expertise across continents and governmental agencies. She reports to Jason McMann, Head of Geopolitical Risk Analysis.
