Real Estate Analyst CoStar Names EU Head of Analytics

US-based real estate marketplace and intelligence provider CoStar Group has appointed Robert Stassen as Head of Analytics for Europe.

CoStar Group conducts ongoing research to produce and maintain a database of commercial real estate information, and its suite of online services enables clients to analyse and interpret commercial property values, market conditions and current availabilities. In addition, its STR brand provides data benchmarking, analytics and marketplace insights for the global hospitality industry.

Stassen (pictured) joins with nearly 30 years of experience working for Europe's financial and commercial real estate industries. Previously, he spent seven years as Head of the EMEA Capital Markets Research team at JLL, which analyses the real estate market across sectors from an investor perspective. Earlier he was Lead Equity Analyst Real Estate - Continental Europe at Credit Suisse, and Head of Property Equity Research at Fortis Merchant Bank. Most recently, he co-founded BriXteen, a consultancy aiming to connect property and financial markets through better data.

In his new role, Stassen will be responsible for growing and leading CoStar Group's European Analytics team, overseeing its production of analyses of economic and real estate market conditions in the region for inclusion in the company's product offerings.
