Birdie Hires Head of Product
AI-based consumer insights platform Birdie.ai has appointed former fintech product leader Alexandre Spengler as Head of Product.
 Founded in 2018 by Alexandre Hadade, Patrícia Osorio, Everton Cherman and Rodrigo Pantigas, Birdie uses artificial intelligence and natural language processing to help CPG organizations analyse and understand unstructured data from millions of consumers' comments, reviews and other online conversations, with a particular focus on product development and optimization. The firm is headquartered in Palo Alto with offices in Miami and São Paulo and has secured two seed funding rounds, in 2020 and earlier this year. Previous high level appointments include COO Ted Clark, a former Toluna SVP; and recently former Kantar exec Cadu Chiba as Director of Consumer Insights and former Ipsos exec Andrea Hiranaka as Director of Insights Products.
Spengler (pictured) brings more than sixteen years' experience as a technology exec and entrepreneur. He worked previously as Head of Product for leading LatAm fintech bank Nubank, which went public on the NYSE last year; and was Group Product Manager at RD Station, described as 'the largest SaaS company in Latin America'. In his new role, in addition to leading the development of products to help clients optimise their customer feedback analysis along the product lifecycle, he is charged with helping Birdie to scale, and embedding and consolidating the firm's product culture.
