Accenture Buys Business Intelligence Analyst Tenbu

Accenture has acquired Brazil-based Tenbu, which uses analytics, big data, and machine learning to support business intelligence decision-making and planning. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Carlos PintoSao Paulo-based Tenbu employs 170 data specialists, who focus on helping clients analyze their own data, with an approach across the entire cloud data journey which utilizes talent, technology and data to drive business transformation. The firm's techniques include data mining, data aggregation, A/B testing, statistics, and modeling; and the firm also uses machine learning and data science for business forecasting initiatives.

As part of the deal, Tebu's team will join the Data & AI team within Accenture Cloud First - the group's multi-service group of 70,000 cloud professionals - expanding the latter's capabilities across Latin America and globally. This is Accenture's eleventh LatAm acquisition in the past five years, including the takeover of Argentinian firm Ergo, which combines technology expertise and customer-focused consulting to help client companies integrate data and AI to create a trusted single source of insights.
