US Firms Link for CPG Trade and Spend Analysis

In the US, data platform Crisp and in-store retail marketing and trade promotions agency Promomash have partnered, to launch a new solution allowing CPG brands to access and analyze actual product sales, shipment and trade spend data in one place.

Are Traasdahl and Yuval SelikCrisp provides an open data collaboration platform for CPG (consumer packaged goods) brands, distributors and retailers, delivering real-time insights and trends that it says result in less waste and more profit. According to the firm, prior to its integration with Promomash, CPG brands needed to manually download actual sales data from separate retailer portals for each customer, and then integrate that data into trade promotion management systems or spreadsheets. Brands also needed to subscribe to additional services to understand if any lift to actual sales occurred from promotions.

The new solution provides CPG brand management teams with 'plan vs actual' trade spend performance, including sales lift and profitability data, within the Promomash platform. Crisp's data feed is integrated into Promomash's user interface, and reports brings together actual trade spend and promotional insights into a real-time view, without the need for manual data transfers.
