Digital Transformation Specialist Ness Acquired by KKR

Full-lifecycle digital services transformation company Ness Digital Engineering has been acquired by private equity firm and GfK shareholder KKR, from its previous owner The Rohatyn Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ranjit TinaikarHeadquartered in Teaneck, New Jersey, Ness provides services to help organizations visualize, build and evolve their digital platforms, in order to enter new markets, capture new revenue and improve operational efficiency. These services include cloud engineering, data and analytics, experience design, and 'intelligence engineering'. The firm currently has a presence in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, with access to a global pool of staff across India, Eastern Europe and the US.

New owner KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts) is already a shareholder in GfK, whose own combination with NielsenIQ was announced earlier this year - KKR and the Nuremburg Institute for Market Decisions (NIMD) will remain as minority investors in GfK while NielsenIQ's owner Advent International becomes the majority shareholder.

Ness CEO Ranjit Tinaikar (pictured) says of the takeover: 'We believe this transaction will help us turbocharge our growth plans and further strengthen our competitive market position.
