Buys Combines Romanian Media Monitoring Firms

In Romania, media monitoring and analysis agency Klarmedia has announced the acquisition of competitor firm Media Image Group, for an undisclosed sum.

Klarmedia's platform allows clients to follow topics of interest from a broad range of online and off-line media channels, and gives them access to media impact measurement and evaluation tools, real-time alerts, reputation management, ad monitoring and media coverage stats. The company says the deal, which adds around nine staff, strengthens its position as the leading provider of media monitoring in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, with more than 500 clients and 65 analysts. Media Image Group was the country's first media monitoring specialist, established in 1999, while Klarmedia was launched in 2015 by Ionuț Anastase, Ramona PÎrvulescu and Octavian Petrescu.
