Amplified Intelligence Expands to US with NYC Launch

Australian omnichannel attention measurement company Amplified Intelligence has expanded to the US, opening an office in New York and hiring former Unruly exec Alex Khan for the newly created role of EVP Global Partnerships.

Alex KhanFounded in 2017 by Karen Nelson-Field and headquartered in Adelaide, the company also has an office in London, and offers proprietary technology giving clients insight and tools to measure attention to advertising. In July, the firm said that future planned offerings include campaign optimisation through attentionADJUST, and media trading tech with attentionTRADE.

In the US, the company already works with agency holding companies via API feeds into planning tools, and has been building up omni-channel attention data there for the last two years through partnerships with US-based agencies, media platforms and brands. Khan (pictured) joins from video ad distribution and tracking platform Unruly, where he latterly served as Group MD, International. Prior to this he worked for digital AdTech platform Smaato, as MD APAC, based in Singapore; was responsible for the combined Platforms and Enterprise business for ad and publishing solutions agency Oath in APAC; and was MD for AOL Asia and ANZ.

In his new role, Khan will work with Chief Growth Officer Phil Townend (who joined from Unruly in 2020), to scale the business globally through key distribution partnerships. He will report to Nelson-Field, who comments: 'As one of the largest advertising markets in the world, the US is the natural next location in our expanding global footprint. We're excited to officially be on the ground, working with our clients to develop a deeper understanding of their specific needs and support them in using our technology to transform how they measure online advertising. Alex will play a vital role in helping us scale in the US and globally'.
