MetrixLab Adds Voice Recordings to Consumer Surveys
Insights provider MetrixLab says it is trialling a methodology allowing respondents to answer survey questionnaires using voice recordings.
According to the firm, spoken comments offer the potential to enhance research results by delivering a 'richness of information' which it claims is often difficult to deliver within the confines of traditional online surveys. The new methodology has been developed in partnership with Phebi, whose software collects and analyzes voice recordings, and also delivers non-conscious analysis solutions combining speech recognition, AI and machine learning to understand the sentiment behind voiced opinions.
Carlijn Tummers (pictured), MetrixLab Global Innovation Consultant, explains: 'We've been able to blend new technology with our research expertise to enhance the richness and quality of feedback from online surveys. Many people are already using voice commands in their homes and vehicles. We are exploring this technology to understand its impact on the quality of insights when we simplify survey completion and measure respondents' emotions passively'.
