Wavemaker Gives Boyer and Osenda Joint CEO France Title

WPP's consumer data specialist Wavemaker has announced that France CEO Jean Philippe Bertaux is leaving the agency after thirteen years, to be replaced by leadership duo Julien Boyer and Roch Osenda. Bertaux's next career move is not yet known.

Julien Boyer and Roch OsendaWavemaker, which was set up in 2016 by WPP media agency MEC, supports clients' consumer decision-making and experience activity through media, content and technology. Through its consumer data and insights, the business focuses on understanding where and how marketing can help brands win more sales.

Bertaux joined in 2010, and during his time at Wavemaker, he led the business through the acquisition of KR media, and the Maxus/MEC merger. Before this, he was GroupM Global Chief Client Officer; Deputy MD of Carat France; and Account Manager at MediaCom.

Osenda and Boyer move into the leadership post, after both previously holding the title MD. They will now report into EMEA CEO Ruth Stubbs and WPP France Country Head and GroupM CEO, Mathieu Morgensztern. Stubbs comments: 'I'm really proud to see two brilliant people taking the lead in one of our biggest and strategically important global markets. Their combined skillsets provide Wavemaker France with something that is positively provocative and differentiating.'
