Australian Buy Boosts Property Data Firm CoreLogic

In Australia, independent property data and analytics provider CoreLogic International has agreed to acquire property software development firm Plezzel, for an undisclosed sum.

Lisa ClaesCoreLogic provides property data solutions for corporate clients and operates the consumer-facing portals onthehouse.com.au, properytvalue.com.au and propertyvalue.co.nz . The data behind these offers comes from public, contributory and proprietary sources and covers almost 100% of the Australian and New Zealand residential property markets. It also has offices in the US and UK. Plezzel was founded in 2011 in Geelong, Victoria by husband and wife 'PropTech' entrepreneurs Greg and Cecille McCutcheon, and provides digital automation and lead generation for buyers and sellers, including customised communication and digital marketing products to help agents grow their businesses.

CoreLogic Australia CEO Lisa Claes (pictured) says Plezzel offers agents autonomy and full control over their own branding, marketing and communications, complementing CoreLogic's existing suite of real estate software solutions. She comments: 'The proposed acquisition of Plezzel, once complete, is expected to bolster CoreLogic's considerable investment designed to support the real estate industry through the use of data and sophisticated technology solutions'.

Cecille McCutcheon comments: 'This is an exciting development for Plezzel, and following completion, we look forward to working with CoreLogic to develop innovative digital products to meet the needs of agents in our industry'.

The buy is subject to regulatory approval, with completion expected to occur in early 2023. Web sites are at www.corelogic.com.au and plezzel.com.au .
