Velir Buys Data and Analytics Firm Brooklyn Data Co.

In the US, data-driven experience agency Velir has acquired analytics consultancy Brooklyn Data Co., for an undisclosed sum.

Brooklyn Data Co. helps clients grow, lead, manage and organize their data and analytics teams, and build a data infrastructure to support self-service business intelligence and advanced analytics. The firm provides customer cohort analysis, forecasting and planning for eCommerce and retail clients; and builds an HPAA-compliant data stack to help healthcare and life sciences clients work securely with protected health information.

Velir says the buy adds to its existing customer experience capabilities - combining insights, creativity and technology to help clients develop marketing strategies and digital experiences. Upon closing, Scott Breitenother (pictured), CEO of Brooklyn Data Co., will become Velir's first Chief Data Officer.
