PureSpectrum Closes $37m Equity Funding Round

Online sample marketplace PureSpectrum has completed a $37m round of equity funding, which it will use to support strategic initiatives and fuel continued growth.

Founded in 2016 by former Cint US MD Michael McCrary (pictured), PureSpectrum provides a marketplace for buyers and sellers of online sample. The firm's recently upgraded PureScore is designed to measure individual survey respondent quality, regardless of source, with an update to its algorithm that has learned and evolved using the data from more than ten billion sessions since the system's launch three years ago.

New funding comes from growth equity firm Arthur Ventures. McCrary comments: 'Despite the turbulent conditions over the past year, our track record of fast-paced profitable growth has continued. The company will use its portion of the capital raised to fuel product innovations, especially around data quality, and drive strategic initiatives to accelerate growth.'
