Car Radio Listener Insights Portal Launches

In the US, audio, imaging and sensing technology provider DTS has launched a solution called 'DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal', offering radio broadcasters insights into how listeners are engaging with their content from their cars.

Joe D'AngeloDTS, which is a subsidiary of audio, imaging and computing tech products provider Xperi, has developed audio solutions for mobile devices, home theater systems, cinema and beyond, to enable immersive and engaging audio experiences to listeners. Its DTS AutoStage system provides AI-powered connected radio, audio and video content for more than 52 connected car models worldwide, combining linear broadcast with IP-delivered content that enables a personalized, in-vehicle infotainment solution.

The Broadcaster Portal delivers insights through a dashboard which provides the geographic definition of the audience; popular locations and thoroughfares; program performance, including the most popular formats and content; and retailer heat maps which show shopping locations in proximity to a station's audience.

Joe D'Angelo (pictured), SVP of Broadcast and Digital Audio at Xperi, comments: 'Radio is still the number one source of in-car entertainment and to keep this prominence, our in-car user experience will make stations more discoverable and engaging to extend listening sessions. DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal is enabling a completely new level of data insights for radio broadcasters to connect with target audiences and power new revenue opportunities with brands and advertisers'.
