NatCen Names New Analysis Team Head

In the UK the National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) has appointed Lovisa Moller as its new Director of Analysis, heading up the Analysis team. She replaces Josefien Breedvel, who has been awarded a three-year fellowship in children and young people's mental health at King's College London.

Lovisa MollerNatCen is a not-for-profit and registered charity which 'aims to promote a better-informed society through high quality social research'. Moller (pictured) joins from charity Engage Britain, where as Head of Analysis, she set up the analytical function focused on public opinion research, deliberation and co-design. Before this, she worked for ActionAid International, latterly managing a project that enhanced the organisation's profile at the UN, before which, she served as International Policy & Campaign Advisor.

Commenting on Moller's appointment, Martina Vojtkova, Director of the Policy Research Centre, said: 'Our Analysis team specialises in secondary analysis of survey and administrative data, collected by NatCen and available from external data sources (such as the UK Data Archive). I'm excited to be working with Lovisa on further developing our data-driven insights offer and strengthening our reputation and expertise of the advanced analysis techniques we employ for projects across a range of policy areas.'

Moller takes over from Breedvel, who joined NatCen in 2021, and had held the position for a year. Earlier, Breedvel, was Head of Research at the Mental Health Foundation, a Senior Researcher at The Forward Trust, and Research Assistant at King's College London.
