Change of CFO for ISG
In the US, tech research and advisory firm Information Services Group (ISG) has announced that CFO Humberto 'Bert' Alfonso is to retire in August to devote more time to family matters. He will be succeeded by Michael Sherrick.
 Alfonso joined ISG in 2021, before which he was CEO of brand licensing company Yowie Group; spent a decade with The Hershey Company in roles including CFO and President of Hershey International; was EVP and CFO of Cadbury Schweppes Americas beverages; and VP and CFO of the Adams Division of Pfizer. In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors of Eastman Chemical Company since 2011.
Sherrick (pictured) joins from IT, consulting and business process services specialist Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation, where he currently serves as SVP and COO of the Software & Platform Engineering division. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Sherrick co-founded Scoria Capital Partners, where as a portfolio manager he managed the firm's investments in the technology, business services and consumer sectors. Earlier in his career he held positions with S.A.C. Capital, Morgan Stanley and PwC.
In his new role, Sherrick will have global responsibility for finance, investor relations, legal, and mergers and acquisitions, reporting to Chairman and CEO Michael Connors - and join the internal ISG Executive Board. Connors comments: 'With his unique combination of technology industry knowledge, experience in operations, strategy and finance, and background in investment banking and financial services, Michael will quickly become a key contributor in advancing our ISG NEXT operating model and helping us drive growth and value in the years ahead'.
