Ipsos US Appointment and Promotions
John Carter has joined Ipsos' Consumer Products Division in New York as Vice President, from A&G Research, where he had been a Vice President for the past two years. Ipsos-Insight has also announced three promotions.
Carter's 20 years in MR, marketing, and general management began at Maritz Market Research - he then moved to Unilever Bestfoods, rising to MR Director for Bestfoods Asia, Regional Marketing Director and then General Manager for Bestfoods Singapore. He returned to the US as VP Marketing and then joined A&G Research.
Lauren Demar, President, Consumer Products, Ipsos-Insight says Carter is a significant addition to the Ipsos-Insight team: 'he knows first-hand the challenges our clients face and how market research can best be used to help meet those challenges'.
Carter will be based in Manhattan. He holds a BA in economics and an MBA in marketing, both from Rutgers University.
Ipsos Insight has also announced the promotion of three senior personnel:- Mike Bellmont becomes VP, Ipsos-Insight Services Division, Minneapolis. Bellmont, with Ipsos for 4 years, has worked extensively on the Sprint and Yahoo! accounts and recently spearheaded the development of Price Evolution.
- Matt Kleinschmit has been promoted to Vice President, Ipsos-Insight Services Division, Chicago. He joined Ipsos with the Angus Reid Group, where he started his career in the internship program, and has progressed rapidly, designing and developing the TEMPO digital music syndicated study (see various DRNO articles).
- Kerri Ryan, also ex-Angus Reid, has been promoted to Vice President, Ipsos-Insight Services Division, New York. She is the Account Manager for BankOne/Chase and focuses on financial services research.
