Illuminas and Rockbridge Join Forces

Transatlantic quant and qual insights firm Illuminas has announced a merger with Rockbridge Associates, pooling expertise in sectors including technology, financial services, travel and education.

Established in the early 1990s and based in Great Falls, VA, USA, Rockbridge is known for solutions based around the Wallet Allocation Rule and including MaxShare, and for founding the American Innovation Index, which measures customer perceptions of innovation at leading brands in the US economy. It has also operated the National Technology Readiness survey, studying trends in the sector since 1999.

Illuminas, which received its current name in 2006 but including predecessor companies is currently celebrating its quarter-century in business, focuses on the impact of technology on consumers, businesses, government and society. Originally a UK-based firm it was bought out by its management in 2016. In addition to qual and quant research expertise it boasts cutting-edge conjoint design, analysis and simulation.

The merging firms say they share a commitment to 'guiding companies through the dynamics of ever changing markets' as well as a focus on high-touch client service anchored by senior research consultants.

Illuminas CEO Jay Shutter says Rockbridge's 'exemplary team and proven proprietary methodologies' will enhance his firm's sector and consultative approach.
