Analytics Launch for YouTube No.1 MrBeast

YouTuber MrBeast - real name Jimmy Donaldson - has beta launched ViewStats, an analytics tool for fans and creators on the video sharing and social media platform, showing subscribers, views and estimated earnings for popular channels.

25-year-old Donaldson has more subscribers than any other individual on YouTube (219m for his main channel, in addition to several other multi-million-subscriber feeds) and runs the second most subscribed channel, behind Indian music and films channel T-Series. MrBeast is known for setting up elaborate games and challenges and giving out large amounts of money for participants, as well as to charity.

The new analysis platform, initially available for free on beta as a Chrome extension, was co-founded by another YouTube content creator, Chucky Appleby, and taps the YouTube API. Users can compare channels' performance with rivals and find channels with similar content, as well as drilling down for more detail including views per hour and revenue for individual videos.
