C-Suite Appointments for Harte Hanks

In the US. customer experience company Harte Hanks has made permanent the previously Interim CFO role of David Garrison, and appointed David Fisher as Chief Transformation Officer.

The company is headquartered in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and employees more than 2,500 people in offices across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. It struggled between 2017 and 2020 with delisting from the NYSE and the departure of two CEOs in quick succession, but grew revenue again and stabilised in the following 2-3 years, despite another change of CEO.

Garrison (pictured) joined in October last year as interim CFO, from the CFO role at IoT lighting fixture and factory automation technology company Digital Lumens, spun out of lighting giant Osram Sylvania. Before that he worked as CFO for ensera, Inc., an Australian listed medical and IoT technology company; and earlier work included time as MD of financial consultancy IW Ventures LLC and TTcogen LLC, and CFO of NASDAQ-listed Tecogen Inc. He brings expertise in cost containment, streamlining operations, ERP implementations, company turnaround and sale, and holds an MBA from Boston University.

Fisher has been consulting for Harte Hanks for just under a year, most recently leading its engagement with the Kearney organization, and will now move to head up the execution of Project Elevate, Harte Hanks' transformation and modernization initiative. He joined the firm from Tribune Publishing, where he latterly served as SVP and Chief Procurement Officer. Earlier roles included SVP of Finance for Source Interlink and Assurance Manager for BDO USA, LLP. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in accounting/business management from the Wisconsin School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

CEO Kirk Davis says the firm is 'well underway on an end-to-end transformation of the business', adding: 'David Garrison has proven his value in a short period of time, advancing our ERP and cost containment efforts while advancing digital initiatives to streamline processes and modernize our business'.
