Arbitron Marketing Appointment

US audience measurement specialist Arbitron Inc. has appointed Bill Rose in the new role of Senior VP, Marketing, US Media Services.

The division now includes Radio, Advertiser/Agency, Outdoor and the Product/Customer Services groups. Rose will oversee its marketing effort, identifying customer needs and developing programs to address them; and will oversee the Custom Research team, which manages the comScore Arbitron Online Radio Ratings service.

Rose first joined Arbitron in 1981 in the San Francisco Radio Station Sales division. He moved to the client side in 1986 joining KSMJ/KSFM in Sacramento and then rejoined Arbitron working for Advertiser/Agency Services in New York and then as Marketing Manager and subsequently VP, Marketing for Radio Station Services. Most recently, Rose was General Manager and Executive VP of Arbitron New Ventures, where he managed research and business development for Online Radio Services, and played a primary role in the Arbitron/Edison Internet studies.

In the new role he will report to Owen Charlebois, the division's President and will remain in the New York office. He has a BA, from Ithaca College and an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business.
