NIQ Appoints Chief Transformation Officer

Consumer intelligence specialist NIQ - previously Nielsen IQ - has appointed former TransUnion exec R. Dane Mauldin as Chief Transformation Officer. He replaces Curtis Miller, who moves into the role of Chief Strategy Officer.

NIQ logoNIQ grew out of Nielsen's 'Buy' business, and last year combined with GfK, promising clients 'the most complete understanding of consumer buying behavior'. The company is owned by investor Advent International.

Mauldin's skills and experience cover operations, strategy, sales enablement, product development, analytics, customer service and compliance. He joins from TransUnion where most recently he was EVP and COO, after serving as EVP and Chief Product Officer.

In his new role he reports to NIQ Chief Operating Office Tracey Massey, who comments: 'Dane will lead our go-to-market strategy and sales enablement teams, to continue our journey of putting our retailer and manufacturer customers at the center of everything we do... With his strong customer focus and deep proficiency in applying data and analytics to solve business problems, Dane brings a distinct set of qualifications that will complement our leadership team's capabilities and help us reach our ambitious growth targets'.

CEO and Executive Chairman Jim Peck adds: 'With his proven record of transforming businesses, I'm pleased to welcome Dane to NIQ. We've made strong progress in our transformation thus far, including significant work to integrate GfK and NIQ and Dane is uniquely positioned to help us accelerate our plans'.

Mauldin will also join the company's Executive Committee.
