Triton Buys Podcast Insights Specialist Sounder

In New York, digital audio and broadcast radio tech and services firm Triton Digital has acquired audio intelligence platform Sounder.

John RossoTriton Digital is owned by iHeartMedia, and offers MRC-accredited measurement services as part of a suite of tools helping broadcasters, podcasters and online music services to build their audience, maximize revenue and streamline their operations. Its offer includes online audio measurement service Webcast Metrics and IAB-certified Podcast Metrics. Sounder promises advertisers and publishers 'the tools for deeper podcast understanding' - including brand safety solutions, contextual targeting insights, and data-driven promotional tools.

The firms say the combination will enable 'a more seamless, practical, data-driven advertising experience for brands, agencies, publishers and podcasters'. Triton President and CEO John Rosso (pictured) comments: 'We are thrilled to welcome Sounder to the Triton Digital family. The Sounder team are visionaries in audio intelligence, and their technology adds an essential layer to our offerings'.

Kal Amin, CEO and co-founder of Sounder says the deal is 'a significant milestone for Sounder, giving us the ability to accelerate our growth and innovation while continuing to work across the entire podcast landscape'. He adds: 'Our AI-powered content analysis enables Triton to bring unprecedented insights, targeting, and promotional capabilities to the audio marketplace'.
