Publishing Merger for VNU & IDG
VNU Business Media Europe, in the news yesterday linking up with Shanghai Media Group, has now announced an agreement with media and information specialist IDG, to merge the two companies' publishing operations in France.
The new company will have combined annual revenues of c.30 million Euros and will operate as an independent joint venture with VNU and IDG each as 50% shareholders. The works councils of both companies have been asked for their advice on the proposed transaction.
