HubSpot Launches 'Deep Research Connector' for ChatGPT

CRM software company HubSpot has launched a solution called the deep research connector, allowing users to connect their customer data with ChatGPT: they can then ask the AI to segment and prioritize targets, forecast demand, and feed results into HubSpot's platform to take action.

Karen NgHubSpot combines first party customer data with native marketing, sales and service engagement tools, and has incorporated measurement and tracking tools from a number of acquisitions into its service, including B2B data provider Clearbit in 2023.

The firm says more than three quarters of its clients are already using ChatGPT, and continues 'we're making it easy for them to apply powerful, doctorate-level research and analysis to their own customer data and context - and to put those business insights to work. This is game-changing for go-to-market teams.' For example, HubSpot says marketers can ask 'find my highest-converting cohorts from recent contacts and create a tailored nurture sequence to boost engagement,' then use the insights to launch an automated workflow in HubSpot; and customer success teams can say, 'identify inactive companies with growth potential and generate targeted plays to re-engage and revive pipeline,' - then take those actions in HubSpot to drive retention.

The firms say users can trust the security features of the HubSpot deep research connector: users only see the CRM data they're allowed to access in HubSpot - for example, individual sales reps will only see pipeline data for deals they own or manage - while customer data from HubSpot is not used for AI training in ChatGPT.
