Buy Brings Together Data Firms AnalyticsIQ and Alliant

Atlanta, GA-based predictive analytics and marketing data firm AnalyticsIQ has been acquired by Alliant, a player in the same space owned by Philadelphia-based buyout firm Inverness Graham. Scarlett Shipp, currently CEO of AnalyticsIQ, will now lead the combined business.

Scarlett ShippAnalyticsIQ uses survey-based methodology and machine learning to model consumer behavior and intent, to help clients enhance their behavioral targeting and drive marketing performance. Its brands include Our PeopleCore consumer data, BusinessCore B2B data, and Connection+ B2B2C linkages. A year ago it launched a service called ChannelIQ, promising 'reliable and actionable insight' into consumer marketing channel preferences, for use in targeting and ad optimisation.

Inverness Graham says combining the firm with Alliant - which it acquired last November - will strengthen the latter's market position and 'establish it as a top-tier provider of comprehensive data-driven marketing solutions.'

JoAnne Monfradi Dunn, the founder and current CEO of Alliant, has announced her retirement from day-to-day operations but will assume an active Board seat to guide the transition and provide continuing strategic input.

Michael Morrissey, Managing Principal at Inverness Graham comments: 'AnalyticsIQ's innovative data solutions strongly complement Alliant's strengths in cooperative data and analytics. Combining Alliant's proprietary transaction data with AnalyticsIQ's predictive modeling and digital integrations enhances our collective ability to deliver high-performing, insight-driven audiences across both traditional and emerging marketing channels.'

'Our team has spent years building predictive data that helps brands not just understand what people do, but why they do it,' notes Shipp. 'Joining forces with Alliant enables us to scale that mission and bring even more powerful insights to clients across channels.'

Inverness Graham and Alliant say they are actively seeking further acquisitions and strategic partnerships with firms providing high quality marketing data, analytics and technology.
